Episode 197: 9/11/2022
I (Operator OT) didn’t expect the show to happen this week, yet it did anyway. We debuted a new track by Vazum and played some tracks by artists who are playing shows in the Central Arkansas area in the near future. The following three blocks were a mix of goth, industrial, darkwave, synthwave, etc. and were mostly the tracks I played in my DJ sets at the September 10th Club Nevermore event. The fifth block was a set of hot new industrial tracks, then we closed with a couple of shoegazey tracks.
Episode 196: 9/4/2022
We kicked off this show with a set of new goth, darkwave, and post-punk tracks. We followed that with a set of industrial and EBM tracks. Then we switched gears and played some no wave and noise rock tracks, which had an underlying theme. (Hint: Labor Day weekend.) Then we went back to the industrial grind with some industrial tracks. The midnight block was a set of noisy old school industrial tracks, then we finished the show with a set of shoegaze and comfy synth tracks.
Episode 195: 8/28/2022
This show began with a set of new synthpop and darkwave tracks. The following block was a set of hard EBM tracks. We followed that with a set of synthpop, minimal wave, and darkwave songs. The next set was one of noisy and heavy industrial tracks. We played some sludgy noise rock sets in the midnight block, then we finished the show with a set of dungeon synth tracks.
Episode 194: 8/21/2022
We began the show with some new post-punk tracks. The following four blocks were a mix of EBM, darkwave, post-punk, goth, etc. tracks comprised of songs I played in my DJ sets at the Club Nevermore event on August 13, 2022. We played a set of noisy industrial and power noise tracks in the midnight block. Then we finished the show with some shoegaze, ambient, and comfy synth tracks—including three cat-themed tracks ‘cause we forgot to play something in honor of International Cat Day (August 8).
Episode 193: 8/7/2022
We premiered some new industrial tracks in the first block of the show. We followed that with a set of darkwave and post-punk tracks. Then we played a set of tracks mixing deathrock, goth, hardcore punk, and g-beat. After that were some requested tracks and a set of noisy old school industrial songs. The midnight block was a set of goth and post-punk tracks with an underlying theme (i.e., summer and heat). We finished this show with a set of recent tracks by some of the artists from England’s Hidden Reverse (e.g., Current 93 and some projects by surviving Coil members).
Episode 192: 7/31/2022
We began this show with a set of new industrial and goth tracks. The next block was a set of tracks from releases by the Metropolis label, in honor of their founder Dave Heckman. We followed that up with a set of loud and nasty noise rock tracks. Then we played a set of power electronics. We cooled the airwaves down with some minimal wave and synthpop tracks, then we closed out the show with a set of shoegaze and ambient tracks.
Episode 191: 7/24/2022
We began this show—our first after a three-week hiatus—with a set of new industrial, etc. tracks. That was followed with a mix of industrial, goth, and EBM tracks that I, Operator OT, played in my DJ set at Club Nevermore’s event on July 4, 2022. The third set was a block of dark and nasty industrial and EBM songs. Then we finished the show with a block of mostly new goth, deathrock, and post-punk tracks.
Episode 190: 7/3/2022
This was a pre-recorded show, because I, Operator OT, needed to prep for the Suicide Commando/Luna 13 show that happened on Monday, July 4th. The show started with a new track, an older track about America, and a couple of tracks by Luna 13 and Suicide Commando—to get geared up for their upcoming show. That set was followed by a block of industrial tracks; which was followed with a set of industrial metal; an EBM set; and a set of goth, deathrock, and post-punk tracks, all with an underlying theme of America and collapsing empires. Then we finished the show with a set of shoegaze, etc. to wind down the show.
Episode 189: 6/26/2022
We started this show with a set of new industrial bangers. That was followed with a set of tracks that are too hard for synthpop but not quite hard enough for EBM. Then we played a block of tracks by Luna13 and Suicide Commando, who are playing a show in Little Rock on Monday, July 4, 2022. That was followed with a set of angry and wrathful tracks by women/women-fronted bands because of a bullshit event that shouldn’t have happened. The midnight block was a set of deathrock and deathrock-influenced punk tracks, and we finished the show with a set of shoegaze tracks.
Episode 188: 6/19/2022
We began this show with some new tracks and songs by artists playing shows in the area soon. The following two blocks were the tracks I, Operator OT, played in my DJ set at Club Nevermore’s event on June 11, 2022, which was a mix of goth, darkwave, post-punk, and industrial. Then we played a set of tracks with a beach and summer theme, in honor of summer solstice. The midnight block was a set of industrialized techno tracks. Then we finished the show with a set of shoegaze and ambient tracks by artists or bands fronted by Black/African Americans, in honor of Juneteenth.
