Episode 160: 10/10/2021
We started this show with a set of melodic-leaning industrial and EBM. We followed that up with a set of power noise. Then we played two sets of post-punk, goth, and deathrock—the first set of tracks was from releases from before the year 2000, and the second was from releases that came out after 2000. Our midnight block was a set of synthpop and minimal wave. Then we finished the show with a set of dungeon synth tracks themed around pumpkins, witches, and other Halloween-y themes.
Episode 159: 10/3/2021
We began this episode with a set of synthwave tracks to get the October/Halloween season vibes going. We followed that with a set of new industrial and EBM stomper tracks. Then we played a set of post-punk, deathrock, and dark punk tracks. We followed that with a set of synthpop. The midnight block was a set of “food synth” and was probably one of the weirdest sets we’ve ever played on this show. Then when ended the show with a set of folk, ambient, dark ambient, and experimental tracks.
Episode 158: 9/26/2021
We started this episode with tracks by local darkwave artists who will be playing a streaming benefit show this Saturday (October 2, 2021). We followed that with a set of noise rock and no wave, including a couple of artists playing at this year’s Valley of the Vapors Independent Music Festival. We followed that with a set of dark punk and deathrock tracks with a vaguely autumnal feel. After that was a set of autumn-themed dark folk tracks. Our midnight set was a tribute to our feline friends, and we closed the show with a set of experimental and ambient tracks themed around fall.
Episode 157: 9/19/2021
We started with a set of synthpop tracks. That was followed with a set that was a mix of post-punk and industrial tracks with no theme. The third block was a set of post-punk and deathrock. Then we closed the show with a set of tracks referencing autumn, in honor of the coming autumn equinox.
Episode 156: 9/12/2021
We started this show with a set of industrial tracks inspired by some historical events. The following three sets were mixes of goth, post-punk, darkwave, industrial, and EBM that Operator OT played at his DJ sets at the previous night’s Club Nevermore event.
Episode 155: 9/5/2021
We began this show with a set of new-ish industrial tracks. That was followed with a tribute to the late Olli Wisdom of the band Specimen and founder of the legendary London club The Batcave. Then we played a set of mostly new industrial and EBM tracks. After that was a set of post-punk tracks. Our midnight set was a mix of goth, post-punk, and shoegaze tracks. Then we finished the show by blasting off into a set of spacey noise tracks.
Episode 154: 8/22/2021
This episode started with a set of new darkwave, post-punk, and synthpop tracks. The following three sets were mixes of goth, post-punk, darkwave, industrial, EBM, synthpop, etc. that I (Operator OT) played in my DJ sets at Club Nevermore’s event on August 14, 2021. We played a set of power electronics, death industrial, and noise at midnight with no discernible theme. And we closed out the show with a set of shoegaze, comfy synth, and ambient tracks to settle things down.
Episode 153: 8/8/2021
We started this two-hour show with a set of industrial bangers. That was followed with a set of darkwave, post-punk, and deathrock tracks. We went into a somber mix of folk and post-punk in the third block, and wrapped things up with a set of synthpop, minimal wave, etc. Also, each set had a track about or referencing cats, in honor of International Cat Day, which was August 8th.
Episode 152: 7/11/2021
We began this set with a block of brand new goth, deathrock, and post-punk tracks, mostly by artists that were played on the show for the first time. The following three blocks were a mix of industrial, darkwave, post-punk, etc. that I played in my sets at Club Nevermore’s July 10th event. The fifth block, which was added in post-production, was a set of darkwave, minimal wave, and post-punk from Ukrainian and Russian artists. And the final block was a set of ambient to close out our late Sunday night.
Episode 151: 6/27/2021
We began this show with a set of industrial tracks to get things warmed up. After that was an interview with local darkwave artist Clusters of Fornication about their upcoming Loss For Words EP. That was followed with a set of set tracks selected by Sean/DJ Hollow from Clusters of Fornication. After that we played a set of synthpop and synthwave. We unplugged at midnight and played some acoustic and dark folk tracks. And we closed the show with a set of ambient tracks.
