HMLM Returns Next Sunday (1/16/22) For Our 2021 Review Show
We plan to return to the airwaves/streams next Sunday, January 16, for our 2021 review show, in which we’re going to play some of the cool and notable tracks that came out during 2021. (I’m not going to call it a best-of 2021 show, but it’ll be close to one, I suppose.) However, our local weather forecast is calling for a chance of snow that night; we’ll postpone the show if that happens.

The next Club Nevermore is coming up on Saturday, January 8, 2022. This one is Club Nevermore Forevermore: Patron Appreciation Night. Normal admission is $10, but one can get in for $5 by wearing a Club Nevermore pin! This will have DJ 10.29, DJ Graveyard Gloria, DJ Wilhelm, and Operator OT spinning goth, industrial, and more. Event details on this Facebook post. I (Operator OT) don’t necessarily condone taking the directions to Area 51 that Google provides—Google’s directions might get you stuck in an alley without an easy way out.

Holiday Break December 2021
Half Machine Lip Moves is going on a holiday break. We’ll be back on air in a couple of weeks, probably around January 9th or 16th, 2022. In the meantime, I (Operator OT) will be doing a couple of DJ sets at Club Nevermore’s New Year’s Noir event) on Friday, December 31, 2021. Club Nevermore and Bragi events are presenting New Year’s Noir: Dark Dance Party at Area 51, 6511 Warden Road in Sherwood, on Friday, December 31, 2021.
Episode 169: HMLM 2021 Holiday HellShow (12/19/2021)
We began our fifth holiday show with a warmup set, then we played a set of tracks about Christmas Creatures/Anti-heroes such as Belsnickel, Krampus, Grýla, and the Icelandic Yule Cat. We followed that with a set of dark and twisted holiday songs. Then things took a dark and somber turn in the fourth block. We played a set of yule and winter-themed metal tracks in the fifth block, in honor of winter solstice. Then we wrapped up the show with a mix of tracks. We hope your holiday is a good one—and if you don’t celebrate Christmas then we hope you have a good Friday and Saturday! (And joyous Kwanzaa to all who celebrate it!)
Episode 168: 12/12/2021
We began this pre-recorded episode with a batch of new and pretty recent synthpop and darkwave tracks. The next four blocks were a mix of goth, deathrock, post-punk, and darkwave tracks from my DJ sets at Club Nevermore on December 11, 2021. Then we closed up shop for the night with a set of mallsoft tracks.
