Half Machine Lip Moves Spring Break 2022
Half Machine Lip Moves will not be on air this weekend, Sunday March 20, 2022. We’re going to Valley of the Vapors Independent Music Festival. Half Machine Lip Moves will return to the air on April 3, 2022.
Episode 177 3/13/2022
We began this show with a couple of tracks honoring a friend’s birthday and a couple of electro-industrial tracks. Then we played a set of industrial, noise rock, and punk tracks from bands fronted by women, in honor of International Women’s Day. Most of the rest of the show were goth, darkwave, post-punk, EBM, and industrial tracks from my DJ sets at March 13’s Club Nevermore. Then we closed the show with a couple of shoegaze tracks.
Nevermore Presents Cenotaph, Coming April 30, 2022
Club Nevermore has launched a new night called Cenotaph! This one’s for baby bats and elder goths alike! Cenotaph will be on the fourth Saturday of month, starting on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Cenotaph will focus on newer darkwave, goth, industrial, post-punk, synthwave, etc. tracks along with some classics. Doors open at 8 PM. Entry is $15 for people ages 18 and up; and $10 for ages 21 and up.

We started this show off with a mix of industrial, darkwave, and post-punk tracks. Then we got things going with a set of synthpop. The block after that was a set of post-punk, goth, and darkwave by Ukrainian bands. Then we put on a set of experimental, power electronics, and harsh noise walls just because we could. The midnight set was one of old and new industrial new tracks with a theme (war). Then we closed the show with a block of shoegaze tracks, because that’s why I’ve been feeling lately.

Episode 175: 2/27/2022
We began this show with a set of tracks by post-punk, darkwave, and industrial artists that have upcoming shows in the Central Arkansas area. That was followed with a set of post-punk, noise rock, and industrial tracks with a theme that should be noticeable (i.e., nuclear war). We followed that with a set of industrial and noisy hip-hop tracks made by artists who are Black/African American or are fronted by Black/African American persons in honor of Black History Month. The next block was a set of post-punk and darkwave tracks by Ukrainian artists. The midnight block was a set of requested industrialized techno, etc. tracks. Then we finished the show with a set of shoegaze and post-punk tracks by artists who are Black/African American or groups fronted by Black/African American persons, in honor of Black History Month.
Club Nevermore Presents The Pop Ritual, March 12, 2022
The next Club Nevermore is coming up on March 12, 2022. This will have goth-industrial, darkwave, post-punk, etc. sets by Club Nevermore’s resident DJs, plus a live show by The Pop Ritual from Memphis. There is a $10 cover charge; doors open at 8 PM. Further info can be found on this Facebook post. I (Operator OT) don’t necessarily condone taking the directions to Area 51 that Google provides—Google’s directions might get you stuck in an alley without an easy way out.
