Episode 31: 2/18/2018
The first-ever Half Machine Lip Moves Valentines/Anti-Valentines Day show. We started with punk and noise rock/no wave about love and breakups; then we played industrial songs about hate and revenge; had a nasty and hateful power electronics set (As if there’s another kind of power electronics?); then we had a little set about love and uh, …black gloves and discipline; then we had a synthpop/minimal wave set themed around breakups and loneliness; then we closed with a set of lonely and isolated ambient set.
Episode 30: 2/4/2018
This show was a bit weird, but also fun. We had a set of upbeat industrial and a set of Japanese garage-punk, just because we could. Then we heard some dark ambient and game soundtracks; a set themed around owls because of the Superb Owl thing that happened today, and a couple of synthpop tracks. Then Operator OT played excerpts from some of his favorite noise tracks, and we closed with an ambient set.
Episode 29: 1/28/2018
Tonight was the long-promised/threatened industrial black metal special. We played sets of industrial black metal; blackened noise and power electronics; ambient black metal; and a set composed of outro tracks.
Note: I mentioned that there were problems with audio levels of the Human Bait and Gnaw Their Tongue tracks during the show, but those were fixed in post-production for the podcast.
Episode 28: 1/21/2018
This was kind of a weird night. The cops showed up at the station a couple of minutes into the show, then there was a tornado warning and I wondered if I’d have a home to return to after the show (I’m glad I can say that nothing serious happened), yet we kept on with the show. We had some electro-industrial punk; a dancy EBM set (get out your glowsticks for this part!); a little post-punk; some listener-requested death industrial; a tribute to the late Z’EV; then a chilled closer.
Epsiode 27: 1/14/2018 - 2017 RetroSpecial, Part II
The 2017 year-in-review special continues! This time we played more industrial and industrial-influenced hip-hop; EBM, some dark ambient, including a brand new release from this year; a look back at even more of last year’s darkwave and post-punk; played some 2017 noise releases; then we closed with a trip into the ambient cosmos.

In our first show of the new year we took a look back at the music of 2017, but it’s not necessarily a “best of” show. We played some of the year’s industrial; EBM; power electronics; noise rock, synthpunk, and no wave; post-punk, darkwave; and closed with an ambient set.
Episode 25: First Ever Half Machine Lip Moves Holiday Special
The first ever Half Machine Lip Moves Holiday special. We strayed out of our usual fields, which has become usual for us. The episode started with some Christmas-themed industrial; a set of cacophonous carols; learned that Christmas ist krieg with a Christmas-themed black metal set; heard some not-so-merry metal; a set of Christmas punk rock from disgruntled elves; a set of twisted and morbid Christmas music; we heard a set of neofolk and experimental Christmas music; and closed with a festive bit of ear-gouging. I hope everybody listening has a great holiday season, whether you celebrate Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, or even Festivus.
Episode 24: 12/10/2017
Our twenty-fourth episode was a look at industrial/post-industrial, experimental, etc. from the new millennium—all music from releases from 2010 to present day (December 2017). We heard some industrial metal from this year; a troll set from one of our favorite Youtube channels; recent EBM; present-day power electronics; a set of present-day darkwave/post-punk; a block of modern-day minimal wave; and closed with experimental ambient from this decade.
Episode 23: 12/3/2017: 2017 Dark Ambien(t) Special Part II
After being delayed by a family emergency last week, we did the second part of the 2017 dark ambien(t) special, which also happened on the night of a SuperMoon. We played some belated listener requests and we heard some fairly new material.

We had a nice crunchy industrial set, played the first harsh noise wall block on the radio in Arkansas, blasted your ears with some no wave, then we listened to some obscure minimal wave Operator OT found when he went down a rabbit hole, then closed with an avante-garde set.
