Episode 41: 5/20/2018
This episode leaned heavy on no wave/noise rock, as we paid tribute to the late Glenn Branca. We started with some of the recent works by The Body; then we paid tribute to the late Glenn Branca by playing two sets of his work; did a focus on Neutral Records label; then we played a set of noise rock/no wave; and closed with a block of heavy psychedelic rock.
Episode 40: 5/13/2018
Our friend and regular listener Jason in South Carolina requested a bunch of songs and thus deserves credit for at least half of this episode. (Thanks Jason!)
In this show, we started with a moody post-punk set; then we played a set in tribute to the late Chu Ishikawa of Zeitlich Vergelter and Der Eisenrost; then we played a set in honor of Marco Corbelli (Atrax Morgue/Mörder Machine/Kranivm/Slaughter Productions label); then we played a set of psychedelic noise, and two blocks of Japanese psychedelic rock.
Episode 39: 4/29/2018
What can I say about this episode? It was thrown together at the last minute and it felt off. But the show had to go on, so we heard a song by Michael Berdan’s (York Factory Complaint/Uniform) new project; a set of noisy robotic disco power noise; industrial metal; heavy glacially-paced metal; then we closed with a spacey set featuring Coil and Outer Space.
Episode 38: 4/22/2018
The was the (mostly) Earth Day special episode, which incidentally was aired at a radio station that uses a solar-powered transmitter—the only one of its kind in the state of Arkansas. We started with industrial; went into a power electronics set; we had a nuclear-themed set; then we heard mysterious sounds recorded in the ocean; and closed with the mysterious sounds of outer space.
Episode 37: 4/8/2018
In this episode, we started with some new-ish industrial; then we had a dance floor un-friendly set (no glowsticks or dancing allowed!); we went into a rabbit hole of obscure minimal wave/synthwave and post-punk; had a noise set; then we closed with something a bit lighter.
Episode 36: 4/1/2018
This episode happened on Easter Sunday, which was also April Fool’s Day, which meant bits of spring-related material and music from hoax releases. We started with a synthpunk set; went into a noise rock set; then we heard tracks from hoax releases in the power electronics, noise, and experimental fields; then we had a dark ambient set; and closed with material from hoax releases in kosmische and ambient.
Episode 35: 3/25/2018
This episode had spillover from the Women’s Day show, featuring a set of power electronics and noise; then we went dark and heavy; we had a minimal wave/synthwave set; some post-punk just because I can; and we closed with a set themed around time travel and spring equinox.
Episode 34: 3/11/2018
In honor of the recent International Women’s Day we did a show featuring women/women-fronted groups. This episode got off to a rocky start, but we persevered and heard some industrial; then there was a no wave and noise rock set; a set of death industrial and power noise; a set of minimal wave/synthpop; then we closed with a set featuring some of the female pioneers of electronic music.
Episode 33: 3/4/2018
This was our debut on KUHS-LP’s new broadcast frequency of 102.5 FM. We started this show with some new industrial tracks; then we played some crunchy and noisy industrial bangers; some fresh tasty synthpunk; a set of death industrial to befoul your earholes; then we closed with some old-school avant-garde.
Episode 32: 2/25/2018
It rained a lot in our area so most of this show was themed around rain, floods, mist, fog, etc. We heard some noisy industrial, post-punk, dark noise, some minimal wave and synthpop, then closed with an ambient set.
