Episode 150: 6/20/2021
We reached our 150th show! We started this one with a block of new tracks. Operator OT talked a little about Club Nevermore’s recent return to live in-person events, and the following three blocks were a mix of darkwave, post-punk, and industrial tracks he played at that event. The fifth block was a set of goth, shoegaze, and post-punk tracks by Black and African American artists, in honor of Juneteenth. We closed the show with a set of summer-themed ambient and experimental tracks.
Episode 149: 6/6/2021
DJ 10.29 from Club Nevermore, Arkansas’s one-and-only goth-industrial event, came on the show to talk about Club Nevermore’s upcoming return to physical live events on June 12th and he picked some industrial tracks. We followed that with a set of darkwave and post-punk, including a premier of a brand new track from local artist Clusters of Fornication. We followed that up with some goth tracks. We played a set of synthpop/minimal wave in our midnight set, and we closed with ear-blistering psychedelic noise rock.
Episode 148: 5/30/2021
We started this show with a set of mostly new-ish post-punk tracks. Then we went into a set of heavy and hard industrial metal. That was followed with a set of post-punk tracks referencing or themed around summertime. We followed that up with a set of Chinese post-punk tracks. The midnight block was a couple of our favorite Les Rallizes Denudes tracks, and we wrapped up the show with a mix of shoegaze and ambient tracks.
Episode 147: 5/23/2021
We began this one with a mix of deathrock and post-hardcore. Then I played a batch of tracks I played during my Club Nevermore livestream set, which was also on World Goth Day. That was followed with a set of dark anarcho-punk, going into the area where punk and goth overlap. Then we wrapped up the show with a set of post-punk and darkwave.
Episode 146: 5/16/2021
We got things warmed up with a mix of neofolk, industrial, and synthpunk. Then we heated things up with a set of industrial and EBM. The third set was a mix of synthpop and darkwave, and we closed with a set of goth, deathrock, and post-punk.
Episode 145: 5/9/2021
We began this show with a mix of tracks, then kicked off the show with two sets in honor of Mother’s Day—one that leaned more towards goth, and another one that leaned more towards industrial and harder industrial. Then we finished the show with a set of power noise.
Episode 144: 5/2/2021
We returned to the station to do a live show after months of pre-recorded shows. We started this with a block of new post-punk and darkwave tracks. The next two sets were mixes of post-punk, darwave, goth, etc. from Operator OT’s last couple of Club Nevermore sets. Then we finished the show with a set of tracks themed around witches in honor of Walpurgisnacht and being halfway to Halloween.
Episode 143: 3/28/2021
We began the second part of our International Women’s Day show with a set of new tracks. That was followed with a set of (mostly) post-2015 post-punk, deathrock, and goth tracks. After that we played a set of minimal wave and synthpop. Then we finished the show with a set of shoegaze, experimental, and ambient tracks.
Episode 142: 3/7/2021
In our 2021 International Women’s Day show—in which we play tracks by women or groups fronted by women—we began the set with a set of industrial and electro tracks. That was followed with a set of darkwave and synthpop, and then a set of goth, deathrock, and post-punk. Then we wrapped up the show with a set of tracks that straddle the line between goth and shoegaze.
Episode 141: 2/28/2021
We returned to the air after with a set of new post-punk and darkwave tracks. That was followed with my set from Club Nevermore’s stream on 2/20/2021, which was mostly EBM to heat up the dancefloor. We played a set of old school EBM tracks after that, in honor of International EBM Day (which was last Wednesday, February 24th), and we wrapped up the show with a set of dancy EBM and futurepop.
