Half Machine Lip Moves won’t be on air this week. This past week was pretty hectic. I didn’t have time to prepare a pre-recorded show, and I have to be at work pretty early tomorrow, so I can’t do the show tonight. We’ll be back soon with a new show.
Episode 229: 7/30/2023
We’re back after a few weeks off! We warmed up with some fresh new tracks. Then Operator OT got a bit lazy and played the tracks that were in his DJ sets at the last Club Nevermore, plus a few extras to pad it out. Then we closed with a mix of shoegaze, experimental, comfy synth, and ambient tracks.
Episode 228: 7/2/2023
We began this show with a set of brand new songs. Our friend Dianne joined us and we played sets of industrial, goth, darkwave, post-punk, etc., with an underlying theme of America and patriotism, because this was near the Fourth of July. Then we finished the show with a set of experimental and shoegaze songs.

Half Machine Lip Moves is taking this week off. We’ll be back on air soon with a new show. Also, the podcast from our last show hasn’t been edited yet, but that will be taken care of and it’ll be posted sometime later this week.

I wanted to say thanks to everybody who came out to Saturday’s Club Nevermore event—and thanks to Nevermore for having me! My set lists are below the cut.
Episode 227: 6/25/2023
We played some new post-punk, goth, and darkwave tracks in the first set. The second set went heavy on new industrial tracks. We followed that with a set of goth tracks. Then we played some synthpop songs. We played a set of post-punk tracks in the fifth block, then we finished the show with some psychedelic dirge and shoegaze tracks.
Episode 226: 6/18/2023: A Warning From the Sun - 2023 Summer Solstice Show
We started this show with some brand new tracks that debuted on the show. The rest of the show had a theme of summertime, beaches, etc., because Summer Solstice is coming up this Wednesday. We began with a set of goth and post-punk tracks, then there was a block of of industrial and synthwave tracks. That was followed with a set of noisy tracks, then we got experimental in the midnight block, and we wound things down with a set of shoegaze and ambient songs with a summer theme.

Episode 225: 6/4/2023
We started this show with some fresh new industrial, goth, and darkwave songs. Then we played a set of synthpop and minimal wave tracks, including some requested ones (thanks, Amanda!). We followed that with a set of goth, darkwave, and synthwave with a vague underlying summer theme. That was followed with some goth and darkwave tracks from around the world. The fifth block was a set of psychedelic-leaning post-punk, and we finished the show with a set of shoegaze tracks.
