Episode 137: 12/13/2020
We began this show with an industrial and goth warmup set. Then we played a set of hot and fresh EBM tracks. The third block was a mix of darkwave and post-punk tracks, and we wrapped up with an ambient set featuring tracks with the late Harold Budd.
Episode 136: 12/6/2020
This abbreviated episode began with a new Cevin key track and a set of new darkwave and post-punk tracks. The second block was a set of post-punk that feel cold and rainy to me. The third block was a set of experimental and noisy tracks. Then we finished the show with a set of tracks themed around the month of December, cold, winter, etc.
Episode 135: 11/22/2020
We opened this show with a set about our current situation. The two blocks after that were a mix of industrial, EBM, darkwave, and post-punk. Then we had a set with a bit of hard industrial and synthpop, and a couple of tracks in honor of Bjork’s birthday. We played a set of industrialized techno at midnight, and closed with a set of shoegaze tracks.
Episode 134: 11/15/2020
We returned to the studio for the first since the beginning of March, and chaos ensued. We were joined by Danny from KUHS-LP’s new show Outrage Radio (and a new Finally Friday co-host). We began the show with a set of industrial tracks. We followed that up with a block of EBM, old and new. Then we played a set of noise rock. The fourth set was a mix of synthpop, darkwave, and post-punk. The fifth set was some autumn-themed experimental tracks, and we closed the show with a mix of comfy synth, experimental, and ambient.
Episode 133: 11/2/2020 (Halloween Hangover 2020)
We began the episode with a two sets of tracks that were a mix of industrial, EBM, deathrock, and post-punk in response to the upcoming election. The next two hours were selections Operator OT picked for his sets in Club Nevermore’s Tracks & Treats event on Halloween night, which featured a mix of industrial, EBM, deathrock, post-punk, punk rock, and more.
Episode 132: 10/25/2020
Here’s our 2020 dark ambien(t) and atmospheric special. We began the show with a set of new dark ambient tracks, which was followed with a couple of block of dark ambient and atmospheric tracks. We played a set of morbid death industrial tracks at midnight, then we closed with a somewhat more soothing set.
Episode 131: 10/11/2020
We began this episode with a set relevant to our current situation. That was followed with a set of industrial tracks. We followed that with a set of tracks that make me (Operator OT) think of fall, but aren’t themed around or about the season. That was followed with a set of dark punk and deathrock tracks. We played a set of fairly recent darkwave tracks at midnight, and wrapped up with a set of shoegaze and ambient tracks.
Episode 130: 9/27/2020
(This show was intended to air on September 20, 2020 but due to some car issues it had to be postponed by a week.)
We started this show with some batch of sort-of timely industrial, post-punk, and hardcore punk tracks. That was followed with Operator OT’s sets from the Club Nevermore livestream on September 12, which were mixes of post-punk, goth, darkwave, and industrial. We followed that with a set of piping-hot industrial tracks. The last hour of the show was a mix of autumn-themed post-punk and ambient tracks in honor of fall equinox.
Episode 129: 9/6/2020
We started this one with a batch of new industrial and goth tracks. That was followed with a set of tracks themed around work, etc. in honor of Labor Day. Then we played a set of industrial, post-punk, and noise rock tracks about viruses, infections, etc. because we’re still in the grips of a global pandemic. That was followed with some synthpop tracks, including a mini-set of Soviet Russian synthpop/new wave that was a tribute to the late Oleg Parastaev of Al’yans and NRG. We went all-out for a set of power electronics at midnight, and we closed the show with a mix of shoegaze, experimental, and ambient.
Episode 128: 8/30/2020
We started this episode with a few tracks from (former) Yugoslavian post-punk bands, in honor of our friend and graphic designer Ipsy’s birthday who turned us on to them, and some tracks in honor of Dinah Cancer’s recent birthday. That was followed with a set of industrial tracks with no theme (nope, no theme at all). Then we played a set of mostly new industrial tracks. Then we played a set of post-punk tracks. That was followed by a set of tracks themed around storms and hurricanes, etc. And we closed the show with experimental and ambient tracks themed around rain, storms, etc.
